Announcement:

For court scheduled tomorrow/Wednesday – GPD impositions and trials, see below decisions and instructions to the public in light of Hurricane Francine.  Thanks for your assistance. 

  • For GPD impositions and trials 9/11/24, defendants and witnesses should go to the clerk’s office by 9/20/24 to be served with a new date. 

  • Last names beginning A-K:  the new date for impositions and trials is 10/10/24 at 9:00 and 10:00, respectively. 

  • Last names beginning L-Z: the new date for impositions and trials is 11/06/24 at 9:00 and 10:00, respectively. 

  • Juvenile and Children in Need of Care cases scheduled for Thursday, 9/12/24, are being postponed to October 3, 2024.

Ascension Parish Court was created in 1976 by the Louisiana Legislature. Its jurisdiction covers the municipalities of Donaldsonville, Gonzales and Sorrento, as well as all areas of Ascension Parish outside the municipalities.
